AW 5083
Aluminum alloy 5083 has high mechanical strength; high corrosion resistance (in particular that caused by seawater); easy compliance; good weldability and sensitivity to inter-crystalline corrosion and stress corrosion (unless appropriate heat treatment is used).
It is typically applied in welded constructions of high resistance for vehicles, containers and appliances; applications in shipbuilding; silos; structures and molds for footwear.
